This course provides students with the knowledge and skills that are the foundation of laboratory, clinical and public health practices, central to medicine and health care. Students may accordingly specialise in one of the three areas of Medicinal Chemistry, Exercise Physiology or Public Health.

Medicinal Chemistry graduates may work in laboratories as hospital scientists; Exercise Physiology graduates may work in clinical testing or rehabilitation, and Public Health graduates may work as policy advisors. Further study may be required for positions in these areas and many graduates use their Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree towards admission into further study such as graduate entry medicine or allied health programs.
