This Honours course offers a further year of study for students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree in the areas of Music, Fine Arts, New Media Design or Communication with an average overall grading of Credit or higher.

It provides a pathway for students to commence research training and offers the opportunity to subsequently participate in advanced post graduate study. The course also offers a Gallery and Museum Research project for students wishing to pursue advanced study in that sector.

Successful completion of a recognised bachelors degree in the areas of Architecture and Design, Communication, Music, New Media or Visual Arts with a grade point average of credit or better.

Students will undertake one year of study in normal full time mode. In first semester they will participate in the Honours Seminar which will be a two hour weekly seminar of lectures and presentations of research as well as embarking on their Research Project which will involve weekly sessions with their Honours supervisor. In second semester students enrol in Research Exegesis where they prepare their 5,000 word Research Paper and complete their Research Project.



A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 80 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.
