This course is offered to graduate engineers and professionals wishing to upgrade their managerial skills in engineering management and business administration. Graduates of this course would be expected to have the skills and knowledge for leading managerial positions in industry or government.

Graduates of this combined degree are awarded both the Master of Engineering Management and the Master of Business Administration.

The course consists of nine core and seven specialist elective engineering management and business administration units. This course is available externally by distance learning for those who are not able to attend classes on campus. Access to the internet is required for distance learning, with access to high speed broadband highly recommended.

A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 160 credit points as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.

2010 - Transition arrangements
Students who were unsuccessful in completing PRBA007 in S2 2009 will have the choice of completing PRBA001 Accounting Principles as the core accounting unit in place of PRBA007 Accounting for Managers in 2010 with the exception of students undertaking the Professional Accounting sequence.  Students undertaking the Professional Accounting sequence will be required to complete both units.  From 2011 all students who have not completed a core accounting unit will be required to complete PRBA007 Accounting for Managers.
