This unit introduces students to architectural history and theory focusing on key architectural design concepts and approaches illustrated within a broad historical and theoretical framework. Students will develop architectural vocabulary and analytical understanding of architecture; identifying the approaches taken to the design and production of architecture and their underpinning theories. Students will develop their skills to evaluate architecture through the critical reading, analysis and interpretation of text and drawings of architecture.
