| This unit examines the design of medium to large scale building typologies with particular emphasis on structure, industrial, commercial/high rise buildings and services. Structures and structural typologies will be explored with a focus on understanding stability, serviceability, function, material properties and behaviour. Typical construction systems for a range of building typologies will be evaluated including masonry, steel and composite systems. Services and services integration is analysed in relation to medium scale commercial building typologies.
