Unit Catalogue

This unit is designed for students with introductory levels of proficiency with the Chinese (Mandarin) language. The unit continues to extend students' language skills to an intermediate level focusing on conversational skills describing activities and aspirations with culturally appropriate vocabulary and grammatical form. Students will be able to apply oral and written communication skills with proficiency and be able to read and understand short passages in written Chinese (Mandarin). On completion of this unit students will utilise a spoken and written vocabulary of at least 700 Hanzi characters in conversation in spoken and written exercises.
