This is a practical performance-based unit, combining extensive development of skill as a member of a dedicated choral ensemble, with choir training, choral arrangement and individual choral conducting techniques. Students explore the ways in which the human voice is used in different cultures, contexts and genres and are encouraged to develop their skills in reflective and evaluative practice.
