Unit Description

This unit will extend students' knowledge and engagement in a particular area of interest in the visual arts with the supervision of appropriate academic staff. With a focus on self-directed independent learning, students must negotiate a topic for either a written or creative project with their supervisor prior to enrolment in this unit.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Identify and analyse a topic of interest related to visual arts.
2.	Critically appraise topic literature and other material, including methodologies, to develop a project proposal to address the topic.
3.	Evaluate and synthesize material to plan and produce major written project including other documentation and materials as appropriate.
