Unit Catalogue

Utilising a case study approach, this unit will focus on learning to work collaboratively with other members of the health care team and health care providers referring women to appropriate community agencies and support networks. Students will be encouraged to develop their own support networks. Content will include models of care, ante and post-natal education and referral guidelines. Co-morbidities of pregnancy will be explored and appropriate strategies for treatment will be covered. Abnormal scenarios and management of same for childbirth will be introduced.
