Unit Description

The aim of this unit is to allow students to develop an understanding of the theory of morality and ethics and how this applies to business decisions. The unit focuses both on how ethical and non-ethical judgements are made and the practical implications of these judgements. The importance of corporate social responsibility and governance is also covered as an integral activity for organisations operating in an ethical and moral framework.

This unit is designed to develop the language and academic skills required by students in postgraduate studies.

This unit is only available to students enrolled in the ZAMQP2 Accelerated International Masters Qualifying Prog.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Develop advanced knowledge and skills in identifying and effectively using vocabulary (words, concepts, idioms, jargons etc.) in moral issues that arise in various business practices.
2.	Research, critically analyse and discuss the moral, social, and economic environments within which ethical problems occur .
3.	Understand and compare the concepts of ethics from a range of perspectives.
4.	Develop the necessary reasoning and analytical skills for resolving ethical problems.
5.	Demonstrate the qualities of an ethical reflective practitioner.
