In this unit students increase their knowledge in the science and art of health assessments and physical examinations; a cornerstone for Nurse Practitioner knowledge and skills. The unit will assist students professional growth though the synthesis of findings that after critical evaluation, informs their independent decision on judicious and relevant diagnostic investigations. Students are required to critically evaluate research findings and integrate these when undertaking appropriate actions within familiar situations.
This unit requires 50 hours of supernumerary integrated professional practice.
The unit includes a one (1) week intensive. The intensive week is compulsory, and students are expected to meet all costs for travel and accommodation in relation to this.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) SNNP01.
