This clinical unit will allow the student to apply and assess the knowledge acquired in previous units in the course. Students will apply logical, structured and critical thinking when undertaking health assessments including physical, mental health, social, ethnic, and cultural dimensions. An enhanced capability to obtain relevant, appropriate and accurate data, in a systematic way, that informs their clinical decision to identify appropriate diagnostic investigations will be gained. Students will be responsible for interpretation, follow-up and acting accordingly in response to ordered investigations in stable and familiar health situations. The unit requires 100 hours of supernumerary, integrated professional practice.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).
