This unit is the second clinical placement students undertake throughout their course, providing them the opportunity to build on the skills, attributes and understanding of a physiotherapy professional that they developed in their first placement. In this unit students will be involved in learning opportunities with clients who present with a range of different conditions from the core areas of physiotherapy, across the lifespan and in a range of environments and settings. This experience may be individually with clients, or in group client sessions.
Clinical education placement is five weeks, full-time (approximately 37.5 hours per week). Students can expect to undertake at least one clinical placement in a rural or regional setting, delivered at clinical facilities or remotely/ online (eg telehealth services).
