Unit Catalogue

This unit is the third clinical placement students will undertake throughout their course, allowing them the opportunity to further build on their skills and attributes required by a physiotherapy professional.¿In this unit students will be involved in learning opportunities with clients who present with a range of different conditions from the core areas of physiotherapy, across the lifespan and in a range of environments and settings. This experience may be individually with clients, or in a group client session. 

Clinical education consists of a five week, full-time (approximately 37.5 hours per week) placement. Students will be required to undertake at least one clinical placement in a rural or regional setting, to be delivered at clinical facilities or remotely/online (e.g. telehealth services). 

Before students commence placement they will need to meet all the pre placement requirements. Please refer to the Faculty of Health website for further details regarding placements requirements and other important information.

Students will be expected to pay for their placement related expenses such as transport and accommodation. Students will also be required to purchase a CDU uniform to be worn whilst on placement. Additional costs may be incurred to cover vaccinations to meet practice education facility requirements.
