In this unit students will undertake their final clinical placement, allowing them the opportunity to work in the role of a physiotherapy professional.¿Students will build on their experiences from previous placements, allowing them to interact with a range of clients who present with a range of different conditions from the core areas of physiotherapy, across the lifespan and in a diverse range of environments and settings. This experience will consist of both individual and group sessions with clients. 

This clinical education¿placement is five weeks, full-time (approximately 37.5 hours per week). Students are expected to undertake at least one clinical placement in a rural or regional setting, delivered in clinical facilities or remotely/online (eg telehealth services). 

Following the 5 week placement students will return to campus to be involved in a student conference where each student will make a presentation.

Before students commence placement they will need to meet all the pre placement requirements. Please refer to the Faculty of Health website for further details regarding placements requirements and other important information.

Students will be expected to pay for their placement related expenses such as transport and accommodation. Students will also be required to purchase a CDU uniform to be worn whilst on placement. Additional costs may be incurred to cover vaccinations to meet practice education facility requirements.
