Unit Description

In this unit, the students will study the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to effectively manage the complex and challenging risks arising in project management. This unit covers topics such as identifying risks, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, risk management procedures, communicating the risk situation to the project stakeholders, modelling risks and ranking risks.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Analyze risks that may arise during a project and critically apply appropriate tools and techniques to manage the risks.
2.	Critically apply risk management concepts to enable strategic decision-making and analyze threats and opportunities.
3.	Critically analyze and evaluate the risks and model the risk parameters to increase the success chance of the project.
4.	Apply sophisticated communication techniques to convey ideas and principles concerning risk assessment to both expert and non-expert stakeholders.
