This unit is part of the coursework units for the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and as such will prepare students to think critically and reflectively about the fundamental use of psychological testing before they join the world of professional practice or research. Students will not learn to become practitioners; however, on completion of the unit should be able to clearly recognise the ethical and professional issues of psychological assessment and testing, and understand the processes involved in critically evaluating test use and results in the future. This unit provides the basis for professional and ethical use of psychological tests by Honours graduates.
