Unit Description

This unit is the second of two research units students will complete to fulfill the requirements of the Bachelor of Psychological Science Honours degree. Each student will have commenced a research project under the supervision of staff member/s from the Discipline. To complete this project, students may design and conduct an appropriate study, but they must analyse any data to test the hypotheses of the project and interpret those findings in the writing of a report. Students will also present their findings to a meeting of students and staff for feedback.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Apply knowledge of the scientific method to the formulation of a testable hypothesis in an area of Psychology.
2.	Implement knowledge of research methods in psychology to design a study and/or analyse data that enable(s) appropriate evaluation of the formulated hypothesis.
3.	Report on research results ethically, in accordance with APA requirements, and considering methodological limitations.
