Students wanting to select the VET in Schools teaching stream must hold previous relevant trade qualifications and a minimum of 5 years recent trade experience. Relevant tradespersons include boilermakers, cabinetmakers, chefs, mechanics and electricians.
A maximum of 140 credit points advanced standing will be available to students who
a. hold previous relevant trade qualifications with a minimum 5 years recent trade experience and
b. hold a Teaching and Assessment Certificate (or a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training).
Please note that all students completing the VET in Schools specialisation must hold a current Teaching and Assessment Certificate (or a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training) in order to graduate.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 320 credit points (cp) as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.
