Students with demonstrated high level competence in video production (camera, lighting, sound, editing, scripting), conventions of non-fiction and fiction forms as well as post production software (Adobe Premier) need not take NMD201.
Students with demonstrated high level competence in motion graphics, visual effects and animation (Adobe After Effects) need not take NMD203.
Students with demonstrated high level competence in design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator for interactive and print) need not take NMD204.
Students with demonstrated high level competence in sound (location and studio mixing and recording, knowledge of different microphones, pick up patterns, acoustics) and design and editing (Pro-Tools) need not take MUS299.
Students with advanced digital media skills who are ready to apply those skills at a professional level (for client or industry) should be selecting 300-level units.
Students are encouraged to take any 200-level unit that encompasses skills and knowledge not already attained to gain experience with a broad set of digital media applications.
COURSE CHANGES AND TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS - 2022
Students transferring to the new course (SEDU01) are encouraged to discuss the transition of units with their Course Coordinator to ensure they can meet the requirements of the new course and that the transfer occurs with maximum credit.
BUS502 Entrepreneurship has been replaced by ENT501 Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
- Students who completed BUS502 should not complete ENT501.
- Students that have not completed BUS502 are required to complete ENT501.
Course Changes - 2021
PRT503 Entrepreneurship for Professionals has been replaced by BUS502 Entrepreneurship.
- Students who have completed PRT503 should not also complete BUS502.
- Students that have not completed PRT503 are required to complete BUS502
The following units have been removed from the course. Students who completed these units prior to 2022 can count these units towards the Specialist Elective unit requirements:
