This Aquaponics short course provides students with an exciting way to grow food and can reduce their environmental footprint while providing fresh healthy foods, all year round.
Aquaponics is a practical example of water efficiency and where we can turn "waste" into a resource. If done correctly, aquaponics should be cost-effective and require minimum maintenance.
You can create an aquaponics system in a small suburban space, and it can be built to incorporate your existing garden. Aquaponics is recreating a natural ecosystem into your backyard.
You will be required to wear enclosed shoes during the course, and appropriate clothing such as: a hat, long pants, sleeved shirt with collar and a water bottle.
To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.
This program is delivered as a 2 day face-to-face intensive. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and selected units.
