Throughout human history, there have been human-made incidents, encompassing major transport and industrial accidents, mass gatherings, conflicts, acts of terror, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear events. This short course covers the fundamental principles guiding the health preparedness and response to a wide spectrum of human-made incidents. The course presents health planning for major events, major incidents, and situations involving mass casualties. It additionally explores the interface between health and other emergency agencies in these complex disasters.
This course would be suitable for health professionals working in acute, primary, or public health areas in government and non-government organisations.
