For businesses to be successful in competitive global environments, managers need to understand international economics and finance. This unit focuses on aspects of how and why individuals and populations make decision and the subsequent broader impact on economies and business operations within a global environment. Students will investigate aspects of cross-border trade and exchange, acquisition of finance, how companies and investors evaluate risk and return, consideration of public policy and the role of international organisations such as IMF and WTO in globalising the world economy.
