The business environment is experiencing unprecedented dynamism and levels of competition. In order to survive, organisations require proactive leadership as well as resilience in the staff and organisational processes. In this unit students investigate how contemporary management and leadership practice can help build resilient organisations. Students learn about effective organisational structures, culture and relationships, different management styles and develop leadership skills. Importantly, students learn how to identify the implications of their decisions and determine the best courses of action specific to a given situation to engender resilience and sustainability in the organisation.
