The first part of this unit covers the properties and methods of the solution of first and second order ordinary differential equations and the properties of Fourier series. The second part of this unit covers the properties and methods of solving differential and integral equations using Laplace transforms.
Students will also make use of the Computer software (MATLAB), where appropriate as an integral part to perform mathematical calculations in this unit.
