| Students will apply the principles of nutrition science in interpreting and analysing nutritional status of individuals, groups and populations, using anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary methods. Students will critically evaluate nutrition methods in a range of contexts at the individual, household, community and population level. Relevant nutrition methodologies are applied to large, population-level programs using program planning and evaluation frameworks. Students will apply the principles and frameworks for program planning, management and evaluation in response to existing and emerging specific nutrition problems in a range of contexts including low and middle income, and Australian contexts. The design, development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based community-level nutrition programs are also addressed.
