Unit Description

The unit develops students' skills in designing and developing structured computer solutions for software engineering problems. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of designing, testing and executing the computer solutions will be covered in this unit. This includes analysis of the problems associated with software engineering process and the techniques for solution testing.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Critically analyse and examine the process involved in software system engineering.
2.	Construct computer solutions for software based problems.
3.	Conduct a series of tests on software at various levels.
4.	Critically evaluate software testing methodologies through research reports.
5.	Develop management skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and reconciliation as a member of a software engineering team.
6.	Critically evaluate the ethical requirements in software testing.
