Unit Description

This unit considers the economics of sustainability and draws on numerous microeconomics and macroeconomics concepts and theories. Students will acquire the knowledge and practical skills for assessing and enhancing long-term environmental and social sustainability of organisations. Students will critically examine emerging research on balancing financial imperatives with the environment and society.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Critically analyse the impacts that changes to economic policies might have on sustainable businesses goals and practices.
2.	Apply economic principles and concepts to identify and solve economic issues related to business sustainability.
3.	Apply economic theories in relation to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
4.	Identify best practices on how organisations might strategically respond to changes in economic policies.
