The focus of this unit is the development of the Science Inquiry vocabulary and skills that are needed to understand the process of acquiring scientific knowledge, the analysis of scientific data and the application of science. In this unit preservice teachers will develop their concepts and processes of teaching and learning science through scientific inquiry. They will apply these through planning and implementing rich learning experiences for students, and will develop a repertoire of teaching strategies, pedagogical content knowledge and management skills for actively teaching science through inquiry.
