In this unit students will identify and critically analyse different kinds of processes for social and community change operated from within a social justice framework. Students will acquire research skills and practical knowledge to apply a variety of approaches to facilitate structural changes in communities and to make decisions regarding community development and advocacy based on 'best practice'. Students will gain insights into how to work constructively and in culturally respectful ways within Indigenous and other communities and have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills in contemporary, real life situations.
