Unit Description

This unit aims to introduce and apply fundamental concepts and practices in project management. This unit covers the four main integrated elements of the PRINCE2 methodology: principles, processes, themes and project environment. It includes the following topics: business case, organization management, quality management, risk management, change management, progress, plans, principles and processes for project management.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Explain the processes, techniques and roles of project management based on the PRINCE2 methodology.
2.	Conduct a project feasibility study.
3.	Write a project plan including the risk management sub-plan.
4.	Demonstrate an ability to function effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team, with the capacity to be a team leader/manager as well as a team member.
5.	Write structured reports on design activities to both peers and clients.
