| This unit comprises an intensive clinical placement of 20 days duration. Students will further develop real-world clinical skills, gaining independence in non-complex cases and participating in a wider caseload that may include paediatric assessment, objective testing, and hearing devices. Students will be supervised by an accredited clinical audiologist. Whilst consideration to place of residence is taken into account, external students should anticipate travel as clinical placements can take place across the Northern Territory or interstate including in rural, regional, or remote locations. This unit is partly assessed by a face-to-face clinical exam on Casuarina campus which is a hurdle requirement. Students should expect to spend a minimum of 1 day on campus to complete this exam. This exam is scheduled during the same week as the teaching intensives for AUD515. Students will be expected to pay for their placement related expenses such as transport and accommodation. |
