Ethics addresses puzzling questions about right and wrong, good and evil, and the paths available to humans for attaining happiness. As an introduction to normative ethics, moral psychology, bioethics, and professional ethics, this unit will prepare students to confront with a critical mind the complex moral questions that we inevitably encounter in our struggles for goodness and happiness. Students will examine some of the most fundamental questions and theories that scholars have devised to explain and justify moral judgments.
