In this unit students will learn about fundamental concepts of word structure (morphology) and sentence structure (syntax). They will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to describe a wide variety of word and sentence structures found across the world's languages, including Australian Indigenous languages.
Students will develop skills in morphological and syntactic analysis, learning to apply appropriate concepts, terminology and notation to identify grammatical patterns from a variety of different languages
