Unit Description

This unit aims to develop the basic skills needed for solving business related problems as well as build knowledge necessary to apply basic statistical tools and techniques to business related disciplines of Accounting, Economics, Management and Marketing.

Important Information

This unit is only available to students enrolled in YIBST1 Diploma of Business Studies OR YINTI1 Diploma of Information Teachnology.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Demonstrate an understanding of the correct presentation, description and analysis of descriptive data.
2.	Develop skills and an understanding of probability, normal distributions and sampling distributions to statistical questions.
3.	Demonstrate an ability to draw conclusions about populations based on sample information.
4.	Demonstrate an ability to make reliable forecasts based on variables of interest.
