Legal Clinic is a specialist elective law unit that offers students the opportunity to gain real-world legal experience in a professional environment. Students undertaking this unit have the opportunity to extend their existing knowledge and skills in a clinical legal setting under the supervision of a legal practitioner. Completing a legal placement will allow students to develop critical insights into the practice of law and develop practical skills that will help prepare them for the transition to professional work. Legal Clinic placements are 10 days and arranged in consultation with the Unit Coordinator. The unit includes workshops to develop professional skills. Enrolment in this unit is via manual enrolment only. Students must have completed at least 80 credit points of their course with a minimum GPA 5.0 in order to enrol.
