| This unit is part of the coursework units for the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and within it, students will review the history of the APS Code of Ethics (also known as the Code of Professional Conduct) and consider a number of hypothetical scenarios in both applied and research settings that warrant ethical analysis. Students will examine the notion of 'professionalism' in both client service and multi-disciplinary settings, and examine the scientist-practitioner model in relation to 'generic' practitioners and 'eclectic' practices. Students will also examine other issues, such as key turning points in the history of psychological testing, the evaluation and development of tests, clinical, organisational, research, and forensic testing, and issues for rural, regional, and remote area psychologists. |
