The aim of this capstone unit is to prepare students to successfully transition to professional practice. Students will gain insight to community paramedicine practices and develop greater responsibility for patient advocacy. Students will develop their knowledge in leadership and followership which are underpinned by the students ability to encompass self evaluation and reflection. This unit will also provide opportunities for students to identify goals for future professional development. Students will gain deeper critical thinking skills by taking part in regular action learning sets which require students to demonstrate the ability to be self-aware and to demonstrate higher order communication skills while working with others.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the WPAR01 Bachelor of Paramedicine.
