In this unit students will identify and evaluate theoretical and practice-based sensitivities to Global Englishes across teaching and learning contexts. The objectives of this unit are to stimulate thinking about the roles and development of English, and how English interacts with society within specific contexts. Moreover, this unit seeks to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of Global Englishes and how associated concepts, strategies and resources can be applied to education, including second language teaching and learning environments.
