Unit Description

This unit is for students who have completed Yolngu Languages and Culture 2 and who would like to study Yolngu knowledges more deeply. This unit is taught by Yolngu under the ongoing supervision of Yolngu elders and educators. In this unit, students learn from and study issues related to Yolngu philosophy, history and science through the detailed study of a variety of written or spoken materials.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Investigate the system of the sounds, spelling and pronunciation of Yolngu languages.
2.	Analyse and apply a Yolngu language grammar to work with other Yolngu languages.
3.	Analyse and describe the key concepts of Yolngu life, languages and history.
