Assumed knowledge of biology and/or human development
This unit will provide students with a theoretical understanding of nutrition assessment using anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary methods. Students analyse and interpret nutrition assessment nutritional status of individuals, groups and populations. Through developing a comprehensive understanding of nutrition assessment methods, students will critically evaluate these methods in a range of contexts at the individual, household, community and population level. Students will also gain skills in effectively communicating nutrition assessment data to a range of audiences.
