Course Structure

Every re-enrolling student will be able to complete their current course of study. This 80-credit point course consists of six core units and two specialist elective units.

A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 80 credit points (cp) as detailed below. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless otherwise indicated.

## Work Integrated Learning: Students are required to attend the clinical placement hours as allocated by CDU Placement Office.

COURSE CHANGES AND TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS - 2026

Core units
HEA542 Informing Practice with Evidence has been replaced by NUR560 Evidence in Health Care from 2026. Students who have completed HEA542 should not complete NUR560.

Specialist electives
NUR561 Diversity and Inclusion in Health has been added as a specialist elective option.
MID511 Examination of the Newborn has been removed as a specialist elective option.
HEA541 Culture in Practice has been removed as a specialist elective option.

COURSE CHANGES AND TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS - 2022

HEA591 Perinatal Mental Health has been replaced by HEA533 Mental Health Care During the Perinatal Time as a core unit from Semester 2 2022.
