General Description

This course covers the butt welding and electro fusion welding of polyetheylene (PE) plastic pipes and pipeline components under industrial conditions both in the field and in factory conditions. This competency is performed by operators as part of a work team.

Accreditation
This is a non-award course and a Statement of Attainment will be issued for nationally recognised units of competency successfully completed.

Locations and Study Mode
Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Entry Requirements Domestic

To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

To gain entry into VTP361 Polywelding Training Program candidates require:

> Certificate III in Plumbing or industry equivalent
> NT White Card
> Sufficient level of literacy and numeracy

Students are required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment).

The length of time to complete this qualification is six (6) evenings over two (2) weeks.

Student Visa holders must study internally full time
