This course is designed to meet the needs of Northern Territory (NT) residents for the purpose of applying for a 1080 Pest Animal Management Authorisation (PAMA) and will include training on wet bait injection (previously separate training course).

Accreditation
This is a non-award course and a Statement of Attainment will be issued for nationally recognised units of competency successfully completed.

Locations and Study Mode
Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Locations: Alice Springs, Casuarina, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Nhulunbuy, Remote

Study Mode: On campus

Subject to demand other locations and modes may become available throughout the year.

Entry Requirements Domestic

To gain entry into VTP421 Apply Poison Baits for Vertebrate Pest Control in Rural and Environmental Landscapes, candidates require:

Current level 3 chemical user accreditation (i.e. AusChem, SMARTtrain)
Literacy and numeracy skills suitable for completing forms and calculating dose rates.

To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.
