This course provides participants with the skills to manage common first aid situations that can arise in an electrical services industry environment, including rescue from low voltage panels.

The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace.

Possible occupations relevant to this qualification include:

• Higher level employment in the electrical sector

To gain entry into VTP466 Low Voltage Rescue, candidates require:

• To be employed as electricians and others employed in the electrical services industry.
• Must have completed pre-requisite units for UETDRMP007. These are: HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, plus UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace or UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker.
