This course aims to offer participants an initiation into Power BI, enabling them to establish connections with data sources, convert raw data into valuable insights, and generate interactive reports and dashboards for effective information sharing.
Students will:
- Develop an understanding of Business Intelligence and its importance
- Develop foundational knowledge of Power BI
- Learn about data connection and data transformation
- Learn about data visualisation and basic data modelling
- Tables
- Charts and figures
- Filters
- Create dashboards
- Gain an understanding of data-driven decision making
- Develop an understanding of Power BI Service
Active Learning:
- Learning will be achieved through guided workshops and tutorials. No previous experience in Business Intelligence is required.
Term 3, 2025:
- This course will be delivered from 10th September 2025 - two hours per week for seven to eight weeks.
