This qualification applies to individuals working in a work health and safety (WHS) role who provide a broad range of technical knowledge and skills, and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

The qualification applies to those working as supervisors, WHS personnel, and workers in other WHS- related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace in known or changing contexts with established parameters.

Start Date	February 3, 2026 Students can enrol at any time after the identified start date and will commence at the start of the next available unit. A specific commencement date will be determined in consultation with the delivery team. A course timetable/study plan will be provided on application for the course.
Attendance	Face-to-face/online Tuesdays (fortnightly) 9:00am - 12:00pm Study sessions (optional) Thursdays (weekly) 9:00am - 3:00pm

Accreditation
This is a current, nationally accredited qualification from the BSB Business Services Training Package.

Locations and Study Mode
Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Locations: Casuarina, Online

Study Mode: On campus, online, both

Entry Requirements Domestic

Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills to undertake this qualification. A Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

To gain entry into BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, it is preferred candidates have:

vocational experience in WHS roles.

Required Resources
Students will have 24/7 access to assessments and learning resources on CDU's online learning platform Learnline. Before using Learnline however, students will need to ensure that their computer has the correct setup.

Estimated completion time: 0.5 year/s

This program is delivered over a period of 6 to 12 months. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.

Student Visa holders must study internally full time
