This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in various work contexts in the music industry.

They use some discretion, judgement and theoretical knowledge, and may undertake routine activities and provide support to a team or work group.

They may work in music performance, sound production, music creation and composition, music business.

Duration	1 year part-time *Duration may vary depending on how long a student takes to reach the required competency level

Start Date	Term 1 - 05/02/2026 to 02/04/2026 Term 2 - 16/04/2026 to 19/06/2026 Term 3 - 16/07/2026 to 18/09/2026 Term 4 - 08/10/2026 to 11/12/2026 Students can enrol at any time after the identified start date and will commence at the start of the next available unit. A specific commencement date will be determined in consultation with the delivery team. A course timetable/study plan will be provided on application for the course.
Attendance	Thursdays and Fridays 8:30am - 3:30pm

Accreditation
This is a current, nationally accredited skill set from the CUA Creative Arts and Culture Training Package.

Locations and Study Mode
Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Locations: Alice Springs

Study Mode: On campus, workplace assessment

Subject to demand other locations and modes may become available throughout the year.

Entry Requirements Domestic

A Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

Required Resources
Students will have 24/7 access to assessments and learning resources on CDU's online learning platform Learnline. Before using Learnline however, students will need to ensure that their computer has the correct setup.

Computer and internet access is required to source information and complete assessments. It is recommended students bring a laptop with them to class so they can access online resources

Students are issued with learning materials and handouts for each unit.
