Duration	6 to 12 months part-time *Duration may vary depending on how long a student takes to reach the required competency level

Start Date	February 2, 2026 Students can enrol at any time after the identified start date and will commence at the start of the next available unit. A specific commencement date will be determined in consultation with the delivery team. A course timetable/study plan will be provided on application for the course.
Attendance	Students will receive an individualised student plan

SIR40316 Certificate IV in Retail Management - 2026

Accreditation
This is a current, nationally accredited qualification from the SIR Retail Services Training Package.

Locations and Study Mode
Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Locations: Palmerston, Remote

Study Mode: On campus, workplace assessment

Subject to demand other locations and modes may become available throughout the year.

Entry Requirements Domestic

A pre - enrolment process to establish suitability to undertake the course and to determine support requirements will be conducted, which will include a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

To gain entry into SIR40316 Certificate IV in Retail Management, candidates require:

have achieved a Certificate III in Retail

have relevant industry employment experience in a job role that has involved the application of skills and knowledge described in core units of competency from the SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail.

Required Resources
Students will have 24/7 access to assessments and learning resources on CDU's online learning platform Learnline. Before using Learnline however, students will need to ensure that their computer has the correct setup.

This program is delivered over a period of 6 to 12 months. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.
