This course specifies the skills and knowledge required to test, commission and maintain hot and/or heated water temperature control devices, including thermostatic mixing valves in water services.

In some jurisdictions, this unit of competency may form part of accreditation, licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements.

This is a non-award course and a Statement of Attainment will be issued for nationally recognised units of competency successfully completed.

Entry Requirements Domestic

A Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

To gain entry into VTP407 Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) Devices, candidates require:

CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing or industry equivalent
NT White Card
Must have completed pre-requisite units for CPCWT4023
- CPCPCM2043 Carry out WHS requirements
- CPCPWT3022 Install and commission water heating systems and adjust controls and devices
- Sufficient level of literacy and numeracy

Students are required to wear PPE (personal protective equipment)

This program is delivered over a period of 2 days full-time. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.

Student Visa holders must study internally full time
